Terms and Conditions

The Piku mobile application features a "Lowest Unique Bidder Auction" with product and Service. The winner is the user offering the lowest unique bid towards a product or service at the time the auctions closers.

By Downloading the Piku App, the Customer agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions:

Overview of Terms and Conditions

  1. Not for Use for those under the age of 18 (Adults Only)
  2. Lowest Unique Bid – Wins
  3. Auctions have a time duration – (1hr, 1day, 1week, 1month, 3months)
  4. Customers can bid to multiple auctions as many times as they choose on any one auction
  5. To bid one must purchase Bidding Tickets
  6. Customers cannot match their own bids (enter the same bid more than once)
  7. Tickets once purchase are no refundable or exchange into cash or transferable to other users on the app
  8. All items once handed over are final
  9. Items purchased or won in auction are not transferable into cash equivalent
  10. Legal Sim card Owners Only can Claim Winnings

1. Who may Bid

You must be at least 18 years of age to enter the competition.

2. Who may not enter

Directors, members, partners, employees, contractors and consultants of the Promoter and any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the Promoter, as well as any person who supplies goods or services in connection with the platform, and all of the aforementioned persons' immediate families and life partners may not enter the competition and shall not be eligible to be awarded any prizes in the competition.

3. Bid period

The Bids periods will be clearly communicated on each Auction Block and closes atone minute before midnight the day communicated. Each Bid will last to the extent permitted by the law, the duration of the bid may not be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Promoter. Upon the time period having expired a winner of the Bid must be announced and prizes handed over as per time frame approved by the regulator.

4. Charges per Token

Cost per token will be clearly communicated and made visible both on the APP and additionally advertised in public domains such as social media, newspapers, and magazines alike. If the charge per token is changed it will be communicated in writing as a notification to the regulators and partners such as mobile network operators, mobile money operators, banks, and Payment Services Providers.

Ticket Offering Example:


Tsh 500   = 5 Ticket
Tsh 1000  = 15 Tickets
Tsh 5000  = 100 Tickets
Tsh 10,000 = 500 Tickets
Tsh 100,000 = 10,000 Tickets

*- Actual cost of tickets will be clearly displayed within the app and upon actual purchase

  1. Each Bid is entered directly into the PIKU Platform and are auditable.
  2. Piku Africa will adhere to rules and regulation set by the Gaming Board Tanzania https://www.gamingboard.go.tz/
  3. Piku Africa will make public all winning Bids and " winners where permissible"
  4. Piku Africa will share all winning Bids and Winner Details with the Gaming Board through A digital portal direct accessible and via a monthly report.
  5. Piku Africa will handover all prizes greater than 5,000,000 TSH publicly where possible
  6. Piku Africa will automatically grant all 24hr to 7day winning Bids and notify the GBT during it Monthly Winning Bid events
  7. In the event there are cash equivalent Prizes attached to Bids will be deposited to the Winners MobileMoney or Bank Accounts
  8. Piku Africa will not make public any Account information as per BOT regulation
  9. Piku Africa reserves the right with notification to the Gaming Board and Other regulator to make modification and upgrades to its platform to ensure efficient and protection of its customers as per Data Protection Policy.

5. Notification of qualifiers and Winning Bidders

  1. Piku Africa will notify the winner via the Piku app and send an SMS to the registered number on the app
  2. Piku Africa will use its reasonable efforts to contact the winner telephonically, by calling the number that was used to enter the bid.
  3. If Piku Africa is unable to contact a winner after reasonable efforts 7days, the gaming board will be notified and with a request to publish the winning BID in an attempt to reach the winner. In the event within 3 published attempts and within 30day period the winner does not come to claim their winnings Piku Africa will request the Gaming Board to re-auction the winnings.
  4. If Piku Africa is unable to contact the winner after reasonable efforts ( newspaper and radio) to do so as set out above, then that person's right to win the Prize will be deemed to have been waived, and Piku Africa may relaunch the item(S) as a new BID.
  5. At the end of the month bids and the name of the winners will be announced via a press conference held at the Piku Africa Offices.
  6. The Winning Bids and Items are not convertible into any other currency on or before handover

6. Rights Publication

By downloading and entering a bid, the entrant gives Piku Africa the right to publish the Bid Item, winner's name, photograph, voice, or videos in any advertising, promotional material or event, or print or digital, at any point of sale or in any public relations material. The nature and manner of such releases are to be determined within the sole discretion of Piku Africa, and shall be for a period of 12 months after the date that the Bid Prize winning is determined, after having being publicly announced as the winner of the BID. The BID winner expressly consents to the aforegoing rights of Piku Africa. The Bid winner consents to the Promotion using such photographs and other promotional material it may at its sole discretion for a period of three years. This consent may not be withdrawn by the Bid winner prior to its expiration of three years of the date of commencement of the Bid.

7. General

  1. By downloading the app entering a Bid, all entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions of entry.
  2. All entrants must complete the full KYC of the Product APP to be eligible for the competition, partially registered entrants cannot hold Piku Africa liable for inability to reach in the event of of need.
  3. Entrants can only win once per Bid category, and will be electronically removed to categories already won by the system within a 90day period.
  4. All information relating to this Platform and Bids, including information on our app, website and any other promotional material forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.
  5. By downloading the app entering a bid you give the Promoter the right to process your personal information and to validate your entry. No entry will be considered valid until this validation process has taken place.
  6. All entrants warrants that the information provided by them is true, correct and factual. Any of the following acts including, but not limited to; dishonesty, misrepresentation, fraud, identity theft and the like on an entrants part is an immediate disqualification of such entry. If such person is chosen as the winner of the competition, such draw will be declared void and will result in a further bids being held and another bidder declared the winner.
  7. The Prize/Bid Winnings will be awarded to the person that downloaded and entered the Bid and who is in lawful possession of the SIM card that was used to purchase the Token(S) and enter the bid and the winner will be required to identify him or herself by presenting such SIM card and National ID or other government sanctioned proof of Identity, before the Goods can be redeemed. Winners will also have to comply with any other reasonable validation procedures as may be reasonably required by Piku Africa in order to claim the Winnings. Copies of the winner's ID will be made for Piku Africa's records.
  8. If any winner is under the age of 18 years of age at the time the winnings is awarded to him/her, then Piku Africa will invalidate all Bid entry, and will recompute a deserving winner.
  9. The prize/winnings must be collected by the winner on such date and at such place as determined by Piku Africa in its discretion. Piku Africa is not liable for any costs incurred by a winner in claiming or utilizing the winnings.
  10. All risk in and ownership to the Prize/Winnings shall pass to the winner on collection thereof.
  11. At the end of each BID all of the Piku Africa obligations in regard to the Bid as well as in regard to the Prize/Winnings shall terminate.
  12. In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Prize/Winnings and/or these terms and conditions, Piku Africa's decision will be final and binding and no correspondence may be entered into.
  13. Piku Africa is entitled in its entire discretion to reject any entry or participant if it believes there has been any irregular, fraudulent or mala fide conduct by, or on behalf of, such participant, and will not be obliged to notify participants of entries that are rejected.
  14. Piku Africa may refuse to award the Prize/Winnings if entry procedures or these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities, mala fide or fraudulent practices by, or on behalf of, any person claiming the Prize.
  15. The APP is also subject to, and must be read in conjunction with, Piku Africa's existing terms and conditions applicable to the use of its products and services.
  16. If Piku Africa is held to be or becomes unlawful or if required by the Gaming Board Tanzania or any other Regulator to alter any aspect of the competition, then to the full extent permitted by law Piku Africa reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Bid or App in its entirety immediately and without notice, in which event all participants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of the platform and accept that no recourse will lie against Piku Africa.
  17. Should the details of the running of this Platform change, the Terms and Conditions will be changed accordingly.
  18. Piku Africa does not recognized another APP, BOT, or any other ML/AI/Software as a valid participant or entry to its platform. In the event a participant use such technologies all winnings will be disqualified and Piku Africa has the right to persecute to the full extent of the law.

8. Non Liability

To the full extent permitted by law:

  1. Piku Africa is not liable for any technical failures affecting participation from a third party provider. Piku Afirca, and its associated companies, agents, contractors and any of its personnel involved in this platform, assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss or damage, death or injury arising from participation in the Platform or from using the winnings or for any loss or damage, death or injury howsoever arising.
  2. Piku assumes no liability whatsoever for any entry that has been omitted from participation for any reason whatsoever.
  3. Piku Africa may in its sole discretion amend these terms and conditions at any time, without notice, and such amendment shall be deemed to have taken effect from the date of publication of the revised terms and condition on the website www.piku.africa
  4. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection to the use of our service (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Tanzanian courts.
